Phoenix Industrial & Safety Suppliers was established in 1993 and its focus was mainly supplying cleaning rags to industries around the Gauteng area. Since then the company has positioned itself strategically and has expanded its operations internationally.

The Executive Members’ entrepreneurial spirit coupled by innovative, organised and controlled methods of management has expanded the business from a house based operation into a medium sized business. 13 years in existence, the company has grown and penetrated into local and national markets, and has diversified into manufacturing its own branded range of products. The company employs a diverse group of people and the staff compliment has reached the 130 mark. Phoenix Industrial is a full black empowerment company and their staff compliments its fair representation of the demographics of South Africa. The company follows the employment equity plan and in keeping up to this plan. The company has developed and trained staff from disadvantaged communities which also includes disabled individuals.

Big enough to supply and small enough to care
The company is conveniently situated at 66 Webber Street, Selby, Johannesburg and operates from a 12000m² factory. It houses several dedicated manufacturing plants including a 5000m² cleaning rag factory, a 1000m² overall factory, a 500m² office block, a 3000m² warehouse facility which stocks a wide range of completely protective gear, a 1000m² safe drive through indoor customer parking and a 200m² Hard Hat manufacturing factory all under one roof. Phoenix also provides a counter sales which caters to direct public trade.
